Following Phase 2 Governance Review adopted at 82nd AGM (Rio, 7 June), IATA invites nominations to nine new Industry Committees. The 2019 Advisory Councils cease to exist from 1 July 2026. Industry Committees open for nomination: - Advocacy and Government Affairs - Cargo - Distribution - Financial - Industry Transformation - Legal - Operations and Infrastructure - Security - Sustainability Rules: Members appointed by Board's Membership Committee on DG recommendation. Must hold position in member airline/parent (By-Law 5 §2.1(b)). One committee per individual. Regional balance + diversity considered. Process to nominate: 1. Submit via IATA Industry Committee Nomination Form (link in email). 2. Endorsement in writing by highest-ranking authority in member airline/parent (i.e. group/airline CEO) sent to governance@iata.org.
